Mixed Media Masked Emotions Project
Facial masking is a common syptom for people with Parkinson's. It comes from rigidity and slowness in the muscles of the face. Because people use facial expression to communicate, those with Parkinson's are often misunderstood and/or isolated. I created each of these masks to represent different emotions. The project was shown at the SHAKE it up! Creative Works Exhibition to raise awareness about Parkinson's disease. See if you can guess which emotion each one is.
